Community Health Nurse – Full Time (Fixed term, possible extension)
Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative – Health & Wellbeing Services now have the following vacancy based at our Mooroopna office.
Who are we looking for:
- Qualifications and training as a Registered Nurse (Level 2) / Community Nurse
- Demonstrated experience working in a community care environment will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical/direct care
What you need to be successful in this role…
- To provide culturally appropriate community based Primary Health Care by providing support to clients in the Blood Borne Viruses/Sexually Transmitted Infections (BBV/STI) Program including treatment, early intervention and prevention and associated services in the context of an Aboriginal Health Service and focusing on BBV/STI early detection.
- To ensure that the direct care and needs of the clients are met and excellent service is provided at all times.
- Increasing community engagement activities, including health promotion that increases BBV and STI prevention, testing and treatment strategies.
- The successful applicant will be subject to comprehensive reference checks and will need to provide: A National Police Check, Working with Children Check and evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination status.
