Senior Project Manager – Full Time

Manage and champion our reconciliation action plan, to ensure that we successfully deliver on our commitments, ensure positive outcomes and continue to grow our maturity and contribution to reconciliation right across the organization. Build relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organizations, to ensure we are informed by and work in partnership with the Aboriginal community in our service area.

About the role

  • The development of future plans to support and enhance our 2030 Strategy, ensuring reconciliation is embedded in everything we do
  • Liaise with Reconciliation Australia to represent YVW, and ensure ongoing learning and sharing of our experiences
  • Coordinate the reconciliation working group and leadership committee, to ensure accountability and progress against RAP commitments
  • Monitor, evaluate and capture learnings to understand and measure progress and impacts
  • Support the Divisional Manager and Manager in reporting to Board
  • Work with Strategic communications on strategies to communicate our progress and impacts internally and externally
  • Work with the Aboriginal Partnership Manager and other colleagues to identify and deliver opportunities to support Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to meet their aspirations
  • Deliver, review and update an engagement plan to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, to ensure our reconciliation activities reflect the aspirations of a diverse range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, support structural inclusion,  identify and address barriers to inclusion and access to services, and opportunities such as employment and procurement
  • Develop and implement strategies to build staff engagement and learning with reconciliation, so that people understand and can take ownership of their contribution within their roles and individually
  • Coordinate our involvement in key dates of significance, such as National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC week to maximise staff involvement, opportunities for learning and building connection
  • Collaborate with business areas to identify and support opportunities to deliver reconciliation outcomes with our suppliers and partners.
  • Work with People, Performance and Culture on strategies and initiatives to improve cultural safety and sustainable employment outcomes
  • Coordinate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employee network
  • Develop and deliver relevant programs and projects to support broader inclusion and equity initiatives
