Service and Maintenance Technician – Electronic Security – Full Time

The Role

The Service and Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing service and installation of security related systems such as access control, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television systems and IP camera systems. They are required to evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot systems and perform repairs as needed.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Diagnose errors and technical problems with regard to electronic security equipment.
  • Determine and perform corrective actions to resolve technical issues.
  • Explain issues with regard to equipment and required repairs to customers in a manner that the customers understand.
  • Follow and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
  • Order required parts to facilitate repairs.
  • Complete detail reports and records with regard to services undertaken.
  • Work across multiple sites
  • Build positive relationships with clients and partners.

About You 

You are client focused, have a strong work ethic and possess excellent problem solving, communication, time management and organisational skills.

 Key skills required to succeed: 

  • Technical experience with regard to access control systems, alarm systems and CCTV systems.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated effective organisational, time management and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Hold a current Private Individual Security Registration.
  • Hold a current Cabling License with endorsements
  • Hold a current Victorian Driver’s License.
  • Hold a current White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Hold a current EWP license
  • Right to work in Australia

Candidates must we willing to undergo a national police check and successfully obtain and maintain a working with children check.
